Legacy-font conversion is deterministic only when the source text actually follows the expected mapping. A document that mixes fonts, contains manual glyph substitutions or has been altered by PDF extraction can produce incomplete or incorrect output. Review important names, legal text, academic material and publication copy against the source.
Transliteration is not translation
